Removing your account
The fastest way is in the app
Open Thread Bible Study and go to You → Delete my account. It asks you to type a confirmation, then removes everything immediately — no waiting, no email round-trip.
If you no longer have the app
Email privacy@wayfarersdigital.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Account deletion request.
Requests are actioned within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. We reply to confirm once it is done. We may need to confirm you control the address before deleting — that check exists to stop somebody else deleting your account.
What is removed
- The account and its sign-in method
- Every reflection you have written
- Every note you have written on a verse
- Your highlights, your color palette, and the chapters you marked finished
- Days present, lessons read, longest stretch
- Everything held in spaced review
- Bookmarks, course progress and settings
Nothing is retained afterwards and nothing is archived. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
You do not need to cancel anything first. Thread sells nothing through Google Play or the App Store, so there is no store subscription to stop. If a subscription was bought on the web, the deletion cancels it before it removes anything, and if that cancellation cannot be confirmed the deletion stops rather than leaving you billed for an account that is gone. If your church provides Thread, deleting your account does not change your church's plan.
